Light Makes No Difference

This post are for smokers, here's what you need to know about light cigarettes. Some smokers switch over to light cigarettes thinking they are somehow less dangerous to their health with less nicotine than regular cigarettes. A UCLA study shows that the light versions deliver almost as much nicotine to the brain as the regular smokes. UCLA researchers found low-nicotine cigarettes act similarly to regular cigarettes, occupying a high percentage of the brain's nicotine receptors. Light cigarettes have nicotine levels of 0.6 to 1 milligram and regular cigarettes contain 1.2 to 1.4 milligram.

Bottom line don't fool yourself into thinking that switching from regular cigarettes to low-nicotine is somehow better for you. The best choice is to make up your mind to quit and stick with your decision.
